The Internet has been ablaze with word that TiVo Series3 will be out real soon now. It has been reported in many places that TiVo has sent a letter to the FCC notifying them that testing has begun. Of course nobody seems to know a price yet, but most people think that it will cost a pretty penny.

So what are the new features with this Series3 tuner? Well to recap what has been said so far on the Internet:

• The unit will have dual tuners
• The unit will be CableCard & HDTV ready
• The ability to play MPEG-4 video
• It will support external storage via a SATA hard drive
• A display on the front to show various pieces of information
