Whew – that was a bit of a mouthful.

A forum member by the name of HTPCGB over at Build Your Own PVR has put together a great flash video explaining how multiple TV tuners work as well as how to hook up your PVR / DVR / HTPC to a set top box (i.e. a digital cable or satellite receiver).

The video itself is not long and by no means a complete guide to PVRs / DVRs, but I do highly recommend it for newbies and even to those of us who have been around the block. It’s great to see a useful resource like this show itself. Hopefully HTPCGB will continue with more videos in the future.
