There is a great post on Digital Home Canada that details how you can easily add extra storage to your SA8300HD PVR unit. The steps are outlined and seem fairly simple to follow. All that is really required is a SATA hard drive, an enclosure and a bit of time. When it comes to recording shows, the SA8300HD actually balances the recording between the two drives to ensure that the drive with the most free space is used.
