Yahoo! jumps into the PVR game
Yahoo! is a web-based company whose name is familiar to many, mainly for their search engine. Well it was announced earlier today that they purchased Meedio, company whose flagship offering is a DVR solution.
According to the Meedio website, they had lots of plans for the Meedio software, but they did not have the capitol necessary to move forward. Now that Yahoo! has bought them out, they can go forward with new features and design.
Hopefully with another big player in the PVR / DVR market we will continue to see growth and innovation amongst the offerings that are out there.
